I am a musician and breathwork guide. With my Didgeridoos, Frame Drums, Darabukka, Cajon, Aquadrum, shakers, and other natural sound instruments, I create a powerful, organic sound – entirely without computers. For two hours non-stop, I take you on a live acoustic journey full of rhythm, movement and depth.

My music blends elements of Organic Trance, Ecstatic Dance, ritual soundscapes, and breathwork music – both earthy and otherworldly. It invites you to dance, breathe and let go. Whether in ceremonies, dance events, or in meditative stillness – Acoustic Dance Music opens a space where body, mind and spirit resonate in harmony.

Dojo Rich has a vision: to bring people and instruments back onto the dancefloors of this world. To move people with his music. To make them dance. To lead them into ecstasy.

As a versatile musician with extensive classical training, Dojo comes from a musical family. He began learning drums, accordion and trumpet at an early age and later took lessons in percussion, jaw harp, double bass and piano. Through percussion, he discovered medieval music – and the cornetto, an instrument that would accompany him throughout his musical journey.

At the age of 14, he started playing the didgeridoo and composing electronic music on the computer. Over time, he developed a vision: to replace electronic music with instrumental, acoustic live music — as it allowed him to experience a deeper emotional resonance. He left his career as a hairdresser behind and dedicated himself entirely to music.

Following his passion for music, Dojo studied music and movement pedagogy with trumpet as his main instrument and a focus on instrumental improvisation and movement accompaniment in Vienna. He then dedicated himself to the study of early music, with cornetto as his main instrument, first in Trossingen and later at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel.

Already in his youth he discovered electronic music alongside the ubiquitous classical music. And although he remained fascinated by their rhythms and dance culture in general, he dreamed of using instruments to breathe real emotions into the lifelessness he felt there.

Through his instruments, Dojo brings the infectious rhythms and stylistic elements of electronic dance music to life. His goal is to create a sonic space that allows listeners to feel music on a deeper level – guiding them into genuine states of ecstasy and trance that many yearn for in their lives.

Dojo’s heartfelt desire is to bring joy into people’s lives through his music – whether on a club stage or with an improvised setup anywhere in the world. His aim is to perform with like-minded musicians and to offer audiences an extraordinary, transformative experience.

Through improvised acoustic performances, Dojo has repeatedly witnessed – and had it confirmed countless times by his audience – that dancers and musicians can merge into a single living organism. “I felt we are one,” is something he often hears after his sets. This experience fuels his mission and vision: to foster a sense of oneness – among people and with nature.
